The Museum of Music Automatons offers a varied program to introduce children and teenagers to the magical world of mechanical music. Young visitors discover the sounding ancestors of streaming services at their own pace. Highlights include the “Zauberklang” (Magic Sound) riddle, where children punch and play their own melody, and the Family Days featuring workshop insights, hands-on stations, and an exciting treasure hunt.

Explore the museum with the Magic Sound puzzle "Zauberklang"
A guided tour introduces visitors to the auditory world of mechanical musical instruments, with plenty to engage our younger guests too. Along the Magic Sound trail, children punch the answers to all ten questions into their own melody strip. At the end, the finished tune plays on a musical box.

Family Days
On our regular Family Days, the whole museum turns into a wonderland of discovery. Visitors young and old can experience the fascinating world of music automatons and try things out for themselves – for example, with a look into the workshop, at one of the hands-on stations or on the treasure hunt in our archive.
